About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Enterprise Architect to define, govern, and evolve the organization’s technology architecture to ensure alignment with business strategy. This role establishes enterprise-wide architecture standards, drives digital transformation initiatives, evaluates emerging technologies, and provides strategic guidance across applications, data, infrastructure, security, cloud, and integration domains.

The Enterprise Architect will work closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, solution architects, and engineering teams to ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value while enabling a scalable, secure, and future-ready technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Strategy

  • Develop and maintain the Enterprise Architecture roadmap aligned with business strategy.
  • Define the current-state, target-state, and transition architecture.
  • Support executive leadership in technology investment decisions.
  • Ensure technology initiatives support organizational goals.

Architecture Governance

  • Establish and maintain architecture principles, standards, and policies.
  • Lead Architecture Review Board (ARB) meetings.
  • Govern major technology decisions across all programs.
  • Review solution designs for compliance with enterprise standards.

Business & Technology Alignment

  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand strategic objectives.
  • Translate business capabilities into technology capabilities.
  • Identify technology opportunities that improve efficiency, customer experience, and operational excellence.

Technology Architecture

Provide strategic oversight for:

  • Application Architecture
  • Data Architecture
  • Integration Architecture
  • Cloud Architecture
  • Infrastructure Architecture
  • Security Architecture
  • AI & Automation Architecture

Digital Transformation

  • Drive enterprise-wide modernization initiatives.
  • Rationalize legacy applications.
  • Promote cloud-first and API-first strategies.
  • Introduce AI, automation, and emerging technologies where appropriate.

Portfolio Management

  • Maintain the enterprise application portfolio.
  • Identify redundant systems and opportunities for consolidation.
  • Evaluate build vs. buy decisions.
  • Develop technology roadmaps for major platforms.

Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure architectural compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify technology risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.

Stakeholder Management

  • Present architecture strategies to executive leadership.
  • Mentor Solution Architects and technical leads.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across business and IT.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • 12–15+ years of experience in Enterprise IT, preferably within the retail sector.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture or Architecture Leadership roles.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and modern enterprise technologies.
