About Company & Role Purpose
Responsible for teaching English based on the Macmillan curriculum, and developing students' language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking). The ideal candidate will help young learners build strong foundational English skills and foster a love for language and literature.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
General
• Deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Macmillan curriculum for primary stage students.
• Prepare and submit detailed lesson plans in accordance with school standards.
• Focus on developing students' four core language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
• Use a variety of teaching methods, including interactive activities, storytelling, and group discussions, to enhance language acquisition.
• Assess and monitor student progress through regular assignments, quizzes, oral presentations, and examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents to support language development.
• Identify students needing additional support in specific language areas and implement intervention strategies.
• Encourage students to express themselves confidently in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
• Enforce classroom rules and school policies consistently.
• Manage student behavior effectively to maximize learning outcomes.
• Coordinate with fellow English teachers and academic staff to align curriculum delivery.
• Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions.
• Contribute to the development of English language resources and learning materials.
