Title: Engineering Work Scheduler

Company: Etihad Rail Operating Companies

Location: Al Fayah, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates

Position Overview

The Engineering Work Scheduler is a key member of Etihad Rail Infrastructure’s Engineering Delivery Team, responsible for planning, coordination, and optimization of Engineering Hours possessions across the UAE rail network.

Reporting to the Engineering Delivery Manager, the Work Scheduler is responsible for developing accurate, efficient, and up-to-date possession plans, ensuring that planned activities, workgroup access requirements, rail vehicle movements, and operational constraints are coordinated in advance of Possession delivery. The role is central to the production of the Daily Engineering Hours Possession Plan and to providing Engineering Controllers with the information and documentation required to manage possessions safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company rules and procedures.

This role combines possession planning, stakeholder coordination, conflict management, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on safety, productivity, and plan quality. • Worksite and resource optimization

Sequence works to maximize utilisation of Engineering Hours, reduce wasted access time, and prioritise critical activities when full scope cannot be delivered.

  • Documentation and plan quality

Prepare and quality-check possession plans, briefing sheets, access lists, special constraints, route requirements, and any supporting documents before issue.

  • Trend analysis and improvement
