Job Purpose:
The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for assisting the management and overseeing daily operations of the company. An Engineering Supervisor will observe daily job tasks of the team, monitor operational activities, report any discrepancies to the management, assist management in administrative duties, etc. Frequently review and test run for all engineering issues according to safe professional engineering principle.
Job Description:
Supervise and train Engineering Technicians
Attend meetings and training required by the Chief Engineer/ Engineering Leader
Check on availability of equipment and supplies and pantries and safeguard against wastage. Conduct full inventory as required.
Report to the Leader any loss or damage of furniture, fixtures or equipment
Maintain own working area and materials clean, tidy and in good shape.
Supervise there is proper care and use of all equipment and machinery
Coordinate with Housekeeping on allocating rooms for PPM, summer cleaning and special projects
Recycle wherever possible and enforce cost saving measures where appropriate
Read all log book contents and reports made by Engineering team and report anything that needs urgent attention to the Chief Engineer
Minimize operating costs by using all equipment & products in accordance with guide lines
Accept a flexible planned work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to Hotel Guests.
Qualifications and Skills:
Must have thorough knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
Understanding of basic engineering concepts, such as strength of materials, loads on structures and member forces.
Ability to follow company’s procedure and set guidelines
Proven certification and qualification to work in Engineering/Technical field
Operations experience in facilities and engineering management
Good level of English both written and verbal
