Role Description The Engineering Manager role is a part-time, hybrid position based in Dubai, with a mix of on-site and work-from-home responsibilities. The Engineering Manager will oversee day-to-day technical delivery, guide software development efforts, and ensure high-quality engineering practices across projects. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring engineers, planning and tracking project milestones, coordinating system integration activities, and collaborating with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives. The role will also involve reviewing architecture and code, managing technical risks, and promoting continuous improvement in processes, tools, and team performance. The Engineering Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, reliable, and scalable solutions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills, with experience directing and developing multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Candidates should possess hands-on Software Development skills, with the ability to review code, understand system architecture, and support technical decision-making.
- Candidates should possess solid Project Management skills, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Candidates should possess experience in Integration, including coordinating system interfaces, APIs, and end-to-end solution testing.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in hybrid or distributed teams, familiarity with Agile or similar methodologies, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with prior experience in an engineering leadership role, is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment are highly valued.
