Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ELV Engineer to join our SYSTEMS Integration team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both ELV system design and project execution, with proven experience in delivering commercial, residential, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of ELV projects, including design development, authority approvals, site coordination, installation supervision, testing, commissioning, and project handover. The role requires excellent technical knowledge, strong project management skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
- Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Prepare detailed ELV designs .
- Design, coordinate, and implement the following ELV systems:
- CCTV & Surveillance Systems
- Access Control Systems
- Structured Cabling Systems (SCS)
- Data Networks and Fiber Optic Infrastructure
- Public Address (PA) & Voice Evacuation Systems
- SMATV/IPTV Systems
- Video Intercom Systems
- Gate Barriers and Parking Management Systems
- Intrusion Detection and Security Systems
- Perform system design calculations and ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority requirements, and international standards.
- Coordinate ELV services with electrical, mechanical, architectural, and civil disciplines.
- Prepare technical submittals and respond to consultant comments.
- Assist estimation and procurement teams by providing technical inputs and material specifications.
- Evaluate and recommend suitable products and solutions that meet project requirements.
Project Execution & Site Management
- Manage and supervise ELV installation activities in accordance with approved shop drawings, specifications, project schedules, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
- Conduct site inspections and verify installation quality and compliance with approved designs.
- Prepare and submit:
- Material Submittals
- Technical Data Sheets
- Method Statements
- Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Risk Assessments
- Monitor project progress, manpower allocation, and material requirements.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
- Attend project coordination meetings and provide technical support as required.
- Identify and resolve design and site-related issues proactively.
- Coordinate procurement activities and ensure timely availability of materials.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Plan and execute testing and commissioning activities for all ELV systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and specialist subcontractors during commissioning.
- Conduct system integration testing and performance verification.
- Prepare testing and commissioning reports.
- Rectify defects and ensure project completion in accordance with consultant and client requirements.
- Support project closeout activities and obtain final approvals from authorities and clients.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in ELV systems within an MEP contracting company.
- Proven experience in both ELV design and site project execution.
- Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong experience in authority approvals (SIRA) and inspections.
Technical Knowledge
Strong knowledge and practical experience in:
- CCTV Systems
- Access Control Systems
- Structured Cabling Systems (TIA/EIA Standards)
- Fiber Optic Networks
- Public Address & Voice Evacuation Systems
- SMATV/IPTV Systems
- Intercom Systems
- Gate Barrier & Parking Management Systems
- Security and Surveillance Solutions
- Network Infrastructure and Active Equipment
Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations including:
- SIRA
- UAE Civil Defense Requirements
- Local Authority Regulations and Approvals
Preferred Qualifications
- GCC/UAE project experience.
- Experience in high-rise, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, educational, and mixed-use developments.
- Vendor coordination and procurement experience.
- Cost control and project budgeting knowledge.
- Familiarity with authority approvals such as SIRA ,Civil Defense, Municipality, and Telecom Authorities.
- SIRA certification (Mandatory)
- UAE Diving license (Mandatory)
- Experience in integrated ELV and ICT infrastructure projects.
