Electro-Mechanical Technician / Power Plant Operator
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electro-Mechanical Technician / Power Plant Operator to operate and maintain high-voltage power plant systems and diesel generator sets.
Location: Doha, Qatar
Job Type: Full-Time / Contract
Schedule: 24/7 Shift-Based
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage multi-megawatt HV power plant systems
- Perform installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of diesel generators
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults
- Program, configure, and adjust DSE controllers
- Interpret electrical drawings and technical schematics
- Coordinate with plant operators for smooth operations
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance
- Operate AC & DC load banks when required
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, and documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and operational standards
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
- Qualification in Electro-Mechanical Engineering / Trade
- Experience with Cummins / Iveco / Scania generators (dealer-level preferred)
- Hands-on experience with DSE controllers
- Experience in multi-megawatt HV power plants
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Good English communication skills
- Valid driving license (mandatory)
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AC & DC Load Bank testing
- Previous experience in OEM / Dealer environment
- Ability to handle complete power plant operations
