Job Summary:
An Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role requires knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and the ability to work with various electrical tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with local and national electrical codes.
- Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
- Test electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and outages.
- Install lighting systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure electrical systems operate efficiently.
- Follow safety procedures and regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with contractors, construction workers, and other technicians.
