Job Summary:
The Electrician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in building facilities. The role ensures all electrical components operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, DB panels, and wiring.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out corrective actions.
- Inspect and troubleshoot circuits, breakers, transformers, and control panels.
- Ensure proper functioning of lighting systems, emergency lighting, and backup power systems.
- Conduct periodic inspections and testing of electrical installations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Respond to electrical breakdowns and emergency situations.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Coordinate with other maintenance teams for integrated facility operations.
Requirements:
- Diploma / ITI in Electrical or relevant technical qualification.
- 2–5 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities management.
- Good knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with safety standards and procedures.
- Physically fit and able to work in various conditions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in high-rise or commercial buildings.
- Knowledge of LV systems, generators, UPS, and BMS.
- Gulf/Qatar experience is an advantage.
- Electrical license or certification (if applicable).
