Electrical Technician (Metering) Jobs in Doha at Inspire Management Training Center
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician (Metering) to support installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of electricity meters and AMI systems. The role involves hands-on fieldwork, ensuring accurate meter performance and compliance with KAHRAMAA procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, replace, upgrade, and maintain electricity meters
- Work with smart meters, modems, data concentrators, and AMI tools
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, meter testing, and calibration
- Troubleshoot faults, tampering cases, abnormal readings, and communication issues
- Perform meter reconnection (shunt/MCCB) as per KAHRAMAA procedures
- Submit HHU updates, site reports, and CWR documentation
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE and safety regulations
- Coordinate with AMI operations and KAHRAMAA teams for timely completion of tasks
- Support emergency and shift-based field duties when required
Requirements:
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in electrical metering systems
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation
- Hands-on experience with smart meters, AMI systems, and related tools
- Strong understanding of KAHRAMAA electrical safety rules and regulations
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of electrical metering systems and field operations
- Ability to work under pressure and in shift-based environments
- Strong coordination and reporting skills
