Job Title: Fire Fighting Technician / Pipe Fitter
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Fighting Technician / Pipe Fitter with hands-on experience in installing various firefighting systems. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of fire protection components, piping, and system integration. Candidates with experience in industrial or large-scale projects will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities:
Sprinkler System Installation:
Install and align sprinkler heads, piping, valves, and hangers according to design drawings.
Ensure proper zoning and pressure testing of the system.
Familiarity with wet and dry sprinkler systems, and coordination with civil/mechanical services.
FM200 System:
Install FM200 cylinders, pipe networks, and discharge nozzles per clean agent fire suppression standards.
Ensure gas tightness, system integrity, and room sealing.
Understand control panel integration and pre-discharge alarms.
Inergen System:
Pipe routing and installation of Inergen cylinders and nozzles for data centers and sensitive equipment areas.
Conduct flow calculations and nozzle placement per design.
Coordinate with BMS/Fire Alarm for release sequence logic.
Hose Reel System:
Mount hose reels, lay piping from water supply, and ensure accessibility and coverage.
Conduct pressure testing and ensure compliance with local fire code standards.
Knowledge in both wall-mounted and recessed systems.
HDPE Piping & Hydrant System:
Skilled in butt-fusion and electrofusion welding of HDPE pipes.
Install fire hydrants, valves, and underground piping networks.
Conduct flushing, hydro testing, and system commissioning.
Deluge System:
Install deluge valves, open sprinklers/nozzles, and piping networks.
Understand system logic for fire detection and automatic flooding.
Coordinate with fire alarm and control systems for activation signals.
Pump Room Installation:
Assist in the installation of fire pumps (jockey, electric, diesel), controllers, and headers.
Align pipe connections, valves, and fittings inside the pump room.
Participate in pressure testing, commissioning, and system balancing.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in fire protection systems installation.
Ability to read and interpret MEP/Firefighting drawings and isometric piping layouts.
Familiar with NFPA standards and UAE Fire & Life Safety Code (preferred).
Experience in industrial projects such as factories, warehouses, oil & gas, or large commercial facilities.
Strong team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
Safety-conscious, quality-driven, and proactive in problem-solving.
Preferred Certifications:
Firefighting Safety Training (NFPA/Local Civil Defense)
HDPE Welding Certification
Work at Height / Confined Space (if applicable)
