Job Summary:
The Office Boy plays a vital role in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of the office environment at Smart Motor Auto Repair. This position involves a variety of general office duties, errands, and support tasks to ensure a clean, organized, and functional workspace for all staff. The Office Boy will also interact with visitors, contributing to a positive and professional impression of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the office, including reception area, workstations, meeting rooms, pantry, and restrooms.
Empty trash and recycling bins regularly.
Ensure adequate supplies of office consumables (paper, pens, stationery, etc.) and replenish as needed.
Prepare and serve beverages (tea, coffee, water) to staff and visitors.
Assist with setting up meeting rooms (arranging furniture, preparing refreshments).
Collect and distribute documents, and packages.
Make photocopies, scan documents, and assist with other clerical tasks.
Run errands outside the office (e.g. purchasing supplies).
Greet and direct visitors and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Assist customers with inquiries or direct them to the appropriate staff member.
Maintain a welcoming and tidy reception area.
Assist with minor maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs).
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience as an office boy or in a similar role is an advantage.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Physical stamina to perform the job duties (lifting, carrying, standing).
Punctuality and reliability.
