Job responsibilities:
To review project tender documents thoroughly (specifications, drawings, program, and handing over documentation requirements) to fully understand project’s scope of work and to mitigate impacts of tender imperfections on the overall project execution.
To select and manage specialist subcontractors including qualifications, technical submissions, shop drawings, testing & commissioning packs up to successful works handover.
To manage allocation of resources in line with the approved program of works in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
To coordinate and lead the production of electrical shop drawings in accordance with relevant authorities’ codes, tender documents and buildability at site.
To coordinate and lead the submission of materials technical submissions in a timely manner to ensure timely deliveries to site in accordance with project timeline.
Review and approve site engineers’ material requisitions and quotations received by procurement department for both, correctness and technical compliance with approved technical submissions.
Manage the testing and commissioning of installed systems and ensure systems are operating as intended.
Ensure that all deviations from original scope and any changes are recorded and claimed by the Project Manager.
Under the direction of the Project Manager, produce Project Plans, identifying all environmental, HS&E aspects, risks and their impact on the project while implementing risk mitigation efforts.
Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of the monthly progress claims.
To act as a Project Manager in his absence.
Attend project related meetings when required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a reputable university.
At least 10 years of experience in MEP project management within the UAE market.
Proven track record of delivering large, complex MEP projects on time and within budget.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
Familiarity with international and local standards and regulations.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Holding a valid UAE driver’s license.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to AED14,000.00 per month
