Job Sope:
As Electrical Maintenance Engineering Supervisor, you will be leading a team of Electrical Maintenance Engineers, QA/QC Engineers and Planners to drive the implementation of Power Systems maintenance strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical guidance and support to electrical maintenance teams and other departments pertaining to the maintenance of all electrical equipment including steam turbine generators, emergency diesel generators, transformers, 480V to 230kV switchgear, UPS and battery chargers, HV and LV VSD and motors to ensure high plant availability and equipment integrity.
Mentor and guide the team (electrical maintenance personnel and contractors) in execution of electrical maintenance and lead personnel qualification, certification and accreditation initiatives.
Provide good documentation to ensure all equipment technical records and drawings are updated to reflect the latest changes, maintenance history and PM reports are uploaded, configuration and software changes to electrical equipment are documented, archived, and backed up.
Be the department’s Safety Champion by fostering safety culture and ensuring that safety measures are embedded in all electrical equipment, procedures and tasks.
Prepare regular reports on electrical system performance, maintenance KPIs and departmental metrics.
Prepare job specifications and costing for out-sourced maintenance activities, technically evaluate vendors and contractors, participate in contracts review and highlight opportunities for contracts optimization.
Propose and implement innovative ideas in productivity (Wrench Time), efficiency, sustainability, and digitalization through analyzing and evaluating maintenance KPI data.
Lead incident investigations, RCAs and investigate and analyze CM work orders to identify the true causes of defects.
Constantly engage with Area Maintenance Foremen, original equipment manufacturers, vendors to modify the maintenance Work Instructions as recommended/required by Field Maintenance personnel.
Review electrical maintenance plan and highlight potential constraints for PM jobs execution, review PM deferment requests and participate in Turnaround scope development.
Witness the commissioning and testing of electrical equipment and lead electrical site functional tests and sign-off.
Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), substations energization and handover.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Maintenance in oil & gas, petrochemical or related industries with 3-5 years in supervisory role.
Knowledge in international and local standards such as IEEE, IEC, NFPA and Grid Code is an advantage.
Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures and knowledge of field testing requirements for new installations.
SAP Knowledge in Maintenance Module.
Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration with other stakeholders.
