Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Estimator Jobs in Abu Dhabi at CAT International

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, and Industrial projects.

Note: Candidate must have experience in Oil & Gas company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical and instrumentation installation works.
  • Perform quantity take-offs from engineering drawings, P&IDs, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, instrument index, and layouts
  • Estimate costs for:
  • Power distribution systems
  • Substations and switchgear
  • Cable trays, conduits, and cabling
  • Instrumentation systems
  • Control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA)
  • Field instruments and analyzers
  • Earthing and lightning protection systems
  • Telecom and security systems
  • Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
  • Prepare material, labor, equipment, and subcontract cost breakdowns.
  • Develop BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and pricing schedules.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and project teams during bid preparation.
  • Identify commercial and technical risks associated with projects.
  • Participate in site visits and pre-bid meetings when required.
  • Prepare tender clarifications and support contract negotiations.
  • Maintain historical cost databases and estimation benchmarks.
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and company procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in E&I estimation within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, LNG, Offshore, or Industrial projects.
  • Proven experience in EPC, EPCM, brownfield, and greenfield projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems used in Oil & Gas facilities.
  • Experience in tendering and bid preparation for major Oil & Gas clients.
