Experience Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or 12 years of direct, related field experience.
Role Summary
The Electrical Works Inspector is responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and verifying all electrical installations and activities at project sites. The role ensures compliance with approved electrical drawings, specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical Site Inspection — Conduct daily inspections of electrical works including conduits, cabling, panels, grounding, lighting, and power systems.
- Quality Verification — Ensure materials and workmanship comply with project specifications and industry standards.
- Compliance Monitoring — Verify adherence to approved method statements, ITPs, and electrical safety regulations.
- Testing & Commissioning Support — Witness electrical tests and ensure proper installation before energizing systems.
- Reporting — Prepare inspection reports, NCRs, daily logs, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Coordination — Work closely with electrical engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues.
- Material Inspection — Inspect delivered electrical materials and verify conformity with approved specifications.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (accredited institution) with 7+ years relevant experience, or 12+ years direct field experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, low‑voltage installations, grounding, lighting, and power distribution.
- Familiarity with IEC, NFPA, or equivalent electrical standards.
- Excellent reporting, communication, and site‑monitoring skills.
- Ability to identify electrical hazards and enforce safety compliance.
