Job Description
Identify potential hazards during engineering activities such as Document Review, Design Safety Review workshops, SAFOP, HAZID, ENVID, HAZOP, QRA, FERA, etc. Participate in technical meetings, commissioning activities, SAT, plant pre-start-up safety audits, performance tests, raise punch lists, and support operations and maintenance teams during project activities.
Coordinate with engineering, project execution departments, and operations & maintenance teams during FEED and EPIC project stages to align with operations, maintenance, asset integrity, and HSE requirements.
Collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to resolve technical issues and punch lists during pre-commissioning and commissioning until project handover.
Assist the lead engineer or supervisor to ensure environmental, process, and safety policies are fully integrated and implemented.
Ensure proper planning of shutdown activities considering SIMOPS and project interfaces for effective execution.
Experience with international consulting firms or EPIC contractors during pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and handover is advantageous.
Possess strong fundamentals and technical skills in electrical engineering.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering;
Chartered Engineer status or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 15 years of relevant postgraduate experience, including at least 10 years in the oil & gas industry with reputable international operators.
Mandatory experience in offshore operations and maintenance.
Knowledge of international standards, Shell DEPs, QP standards, and design software such as ETAP and CYME Model.
