Job Title: Electrical Design EngineerJob Summary
The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for developing, reviewing, and coordinating electrical system designs for building and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that all designs comply with client requirements, applicable codes and standards, and industry best practices while delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical power distribution, lighting, and low-current systems for building projects.
- Perform electrical engineering calculations, including load schedules, voltage drop, short-circuit, and cable sizing.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Bill of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and engineering reports.
- Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, and BIM teams.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documents for compliance with project requirements.
- Provide technical support during construction and respond to site queries.
- Recommend practical engineering solutions to technical challenges.
- Attend technical coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Prepare and review Requests for Information (RFIs) and other technical correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi codes, international standards, and client specifications.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) is preferred.
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in electrical design within engineering consultancy, building design, or multidisciplinary consulting firms.

- AutoCAD
- Revit MEP
- ETAP or SKM Power Tools
- DIALux evo
- Microsoft Office Suite
- BOQ Preparation
- Technical Specifications
- Knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC), IEC, NFPA, and other applicable international standards.
