Sales Support Engineer (Water & Wastewater Treatment – Industrial Projects)

Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
1–2 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment projects, preferably in a sales support or tender handling role.
Basic knowledge of RO (Reverse Osmosis), UF (Ultrafiltration), ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant), and water treatment processes.
Experience handling tender compilation, technical document review, and proposal preparation.
Skills:
Prior experience in sales support for water/wastewater treatment projects.
Knowledge of process flow diagrams, equipment specifications, and tendering process.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings, including AutoCAD drawings.
Strong communication and coordination skills to work with clients and internal teams.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Organized, proactive, and detail oriented.
Support the sales team in technical offers and submittals based on given SOWs, PFD, and documentation.
Prepare technical offers and submittals.
Read and interpret technical drawings, including AutoCAD drawings, process flow diagrams, and equipment layouts.
Assist in preparing BOQs, datasheets, and technical documentation for sales proposals.
Maintain organized records of proposals, tenders, and project documentation.
Take regular follow-ups from clients for submitted offers to ensure timely response and updates.
Skills &
Qualifications:
University Degree in Mechanical/Process/Industrial/Environmental Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience with a manufacturing company in the field of water & wastewater treatment is preferable.
In-depth Technical knowledge of Water and Wastewater Treatment Process and its equipment – Mandatory.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
UAE Driving License is required.
Language
Skills:
English (fluent is a must) – Arabic (preferable) – German (would be additional).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the technical and management aspects of assigned projects.
Interacting with clients, interpreting their needs and requirements, and representing them in the field.
Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Cooperating and communicating with the Project Manager to create more efficient project methods and to maintain the project’s profitability.
Provide technical evaluation and support to assist client service/project managers.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
Assist project manager in the development and review of engineering drawings, specifications, O&M manuals, equipment materials selection and other project deliverables.
Manage project budgets and resource allocation, ensuring the adherence to allocated budgets.
Prepare engineering design calculations following standard methods and principles.
Actively coordinates with all other internal/external team members of the projects.
Follow the company ISO procedures.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Service Sales Engineer

3 years experience in sales and/or after‑sales service of equipment.
Good knowledge of electro‑mechanical equipment in the field of water and wastewater treatment.
Very good customer and sales relationship management.
Skills:
Strong mechanical technical knowledge.
Be proactive in generating enquiries (knowing the market and using company resources).
Ability to quickly assess new situations & prioritize critical tasks.
Follow up & negotiate potential deals & close out orders.
Very good oral and written English skills are absolutely required, and additional language skills are an advantage, especially in Arabic and German.
Having a working experience in UAE and other GCC/North African regions.
UAE Driving license is mandatory.
Actively lead the sales effort to drive growth for the assigned products.
Knowledge in preventive & proactive service sales (spare parts/repair/rehabilitation).
Review & assess potential opportunities, generate leads, prepare quotations & close out orders.
Knowledge about water, wastewater & sludge treatment‑related equipment.
Contribute to sales forecasting activities & close sales accordingly.
Establish & maintain relations with all principles, managing and monitoring the sales to the end user.
Develop technical knowledge to represent principles & products to clients and end users.
Providing the key after‑sales linkages between the existing customer base and the infrastructure enabling the sales & service work to occur efficiently.
Source new agreements with principals as required; prepare and follow up technical and commercial offers.
