EAL Coordinator
The British International School Abu Dhabi is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and adaptable EAL coordinator to join our dedicated team of educators. The successful candidate will be passionate about inspiring a love of learning, committed to high standards of student support and pastoral care, and eager to contribute to the wider life of our thriving international school community.
About You
You will be an educator who is passionate about their profession and seeks continuous improvement. You will have a positive mindset and will always do your very best for students, for parents and for colleagues. You will have strong experience as an EAL coordinator following the UK national curriculum; further experience of international education will be an added advantage.
You will be an excellent communicator who works well with all members of the community. You will focus on professional excellence and continuous improvement, and will participate fully in the extra‑curricular aspects of school life.
You will be responsible for encouraging and developing our culture of inspiration, enjoyment and success. Keen to collaborate and share your expertise you will possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
Flexibility and open‑mindedness required to adapt quickly to a fast‑paced international environment are essential.
About the Role
Our school follows the English national curriculum to IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme post‑16. As coordinator you will inspire staff and students of all ages and abilities, work with plentiful classroom resources, and maintain high expectations for achievement for all students.
Building and maintaining positive relationships with parents is essential and a key part of maximizing student progress.
