The Role: Due Diligence Accountant
This role is perfect for a financial professional who enjoys the "investigative" side of accounting. You will be responsible for the comprehensive financial vetting of potential partners, vendors, and investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Forensic Analysis: Conduct deep-dive reviews of historical financial statements, tax records, and internal controls to verify accuracy.
- Risk Identification: Pinpoint potential financial liabilities, hidden debts, or operational inefficiencies that could impact deal value.
- Quality of Earnings (QofE): Analyze the sustainability of revenue streams and the true profitability of target entities.
- Compliance Vetting: Ensure all financial practices align with Qatari laws and international IFRS standards.
- Reporting: Translate complex findings into clear, concise executive summaries that guide our senior leadership’s "Go/No-Go" decisions.
Who You Are
- Analytical & Skeptical: You have a "trust but verify" mindset and a passion for uncovering the truth behind the numbers.
- Experienced: You hold a Degree in Accounting or Finance, with 4+ years of experience in Audit, Transaction Services, or Due Diligence.
- Certified: Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CIA are highly preferred.
- Mesaieed-Ready: You are comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment and are either based in or willing to commute to Mesaieed.
- Detail-Oriented: You notice the small discrepancies that others miss.
