Driver, Heavy Duty Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE/Dubai at DSV – Global Transport and Logistics
- Ensuring vehicle is maintained properly and complaints, if any, are reported immediately to the supervisor and the workshop team.
- Prioritizing deliveries and suggesting improvements to the daily route plans.
- Reporting damages, excess/shortages if any, during delivery.
- Handling customer complaints in a pleasant and non-confrontational manner and in the agreed method and raise non-conformances where necessary.
- Completing the trip sheets with all relevant information and handing it over to the supervisor toward the end of each shift.
- Submitting delivery notes to OCC within 24 hours on delivery.
- Supervising the distribution assistants and reporting any misconduct to the supervisor immediately.
- Ensuring that the traffic regulations are strictly always observed while driving on the road and all penalties and fines on account of violation are avoided.
- Performing any other related duties / projects assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time to meet the business exigencies.
Qualifications & Characteristics
- Education:
Matriculation or Equivalent
- Work Experience:
Minimum 1.5 to 2 years of experience in driving heavy vehicles in UAE
- Specific
Skills:
- Basic Communication Skills
- Good Knowledge of UAE traffic rules and road safety
