Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsman to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction plans based on project specifications and engineering requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of construction drawings, drafting software, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings for construction projects.
- Develop and revise drawings based on engineers’, architects’, and project managers’ requirements.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and convert them into detailed drafting documents.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, regulations, and company standards.
- Coordinate with project teams to resolve drawing discrepancies and technical issues.
- Maintain drawing records and document control procedures.
- Review and update drawings throughout project execution.
- Conduct site visits when required to verify measurements and gather project information.
- Assist in preparing material take-offs and project documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings to meet project schedules.
Requirements
Education
- Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Drafting, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Draughtsman in the construction industry.
- Experience in building construction, infrastructure, industrial, or commercial projects is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Knowledge of Revit, BIM, Civil 3D, or other drafting software is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering drawings, and technical standards.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Good knowledge of UAE construction regulations and practices is preferred.
