Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Garde Manger to join our team at Al Maha Catering. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting cold dishes, such as salads, appetizers, and desserts, in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare and present cold dishes, including salads, appetizers, and desserts
– Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
– Manage and maintain inventory of cold kitchen ingredients and supplies
– Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service
– Develop and implement new ideas for cold dishes and menus
– Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
– Supervise and train junior staff members as needed
Requirements:
– Minimum 7 years of experience in a cold kitchen environment
– Proven track record of preparing high-quality cold dishes
– Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills
– Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
– Certification in food safety and handling (e.g. HACCP)
