Job Description: Fabric Inventory & Sales AssociateJob Summary:
We are looking for a Fabric Inventory & Sales Associate to manage our fabric stock efficiently and handle in-store customer sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking inventory, ensuring proper stock levels, assisting customers in selecting fabrics, and maintaining the overall organization of the fabric shop.
Key Responsibilities:Fabric Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate records of fabric stock, including receiving, storing, and issuing fabrics.
Conduct regular stock checks and update inventory reports.
Monitor fabric usage and ensure timely reordering to prevent shortages.
Organize and label fabrics properly for easy identification.
Coordinate with suppliers to track orders and deliveries.
Sales & Customer Service:
Assist walk-in customers in choosing fabrics based on their requirements.
Provide expert advice on fabric types, textures, colors, and uses.
Process sales transactions, generate invoices, and handle payments.
Maintain a clean and organized display of fabric rolls.
Build strong relationships with regular customers to encourage repeat business.
General Shop Management:
Ensure the shop is well-maintained and visually appealing to customers.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to fabric purchases.
Maintain a database of customer preferences and sales records.
Work with the team to create promotions and special offers to boost sales.
Follow company policies for stock security and loss prevention.
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (a background in textiles is a plus).
Experience: At least 1-2 years in inventory management or fabric sales.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of different types of fabrics and their applications.
Ability to handle stock management software and basic accounting.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and manage fabric rolls as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a fabric store or textile business.
Basic sewing or tailoring knowledge.
Multilingual skills (especially in English, Arabic, or Hindi) for better customer interaction.
