Position: Â Django / React — Full Stack Developer — Remote
Spotter is a fast growing trucking startup based in the US. You will be working in a high energy environment with adiversepool of co-workers from all around the world.
The Role
As the first step in our hiring process, you will receive 2 assessments to evaluateyour skills.
First you will get an easier Front End assessment. Then if you pass that, you will receive a harder Back End assessment. Back End assessment will pay a bonus$100and also land a spot for a final round interview if completed to satisfaction.
Position Overview:We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer with expertise in Django and React to join ourdynamicremote team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept and design through to implementation andoptimization. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to create user-friendly, high-performance web applications that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Development:Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Django for backend development and React for frontend development. Ensure that applications are performant, responsive, and accessible.
Collaboration:Work closely withcross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers and product managers, to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Engage in brainstorming sessions to contributeinnovativeideas that enhance user experience.
API Integration:Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services. Ensure seamless data flow between the frontend and backend systems.
Code Quality:Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices and industry standards. Conduct thorough testing anddebuggingto ensure the quality and reliability of applications.
Optimization:Monitor and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. Implement performance enhancements and refactor code as necessary.
Documentation:Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, processes, and technical specifications. Ensure that team members and stakeholders have the resources needed to understand and work with the codebase.
Continuous Learning:Stayup-to-datewith emerging technologies and industry trends. Participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.
Mentorship:Provide guidance and support to junior developers, fostering a culture ofcontinuous improvementandcollaborationwithin the team.
Ideal Profile
Qualifications:
Experience:Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio of projects showcasingyour skillsin Django and React.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in Django and React.
Experience with database systems such as Postgre
SQL or MySQL.
Familiarity withversion controlsystems, particularly Git.
Problem-Solving:Strong analytical andproblem-solving skillswith the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
Communication:Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remotework environment.
Adaptability:A proactive and self-motivated individual who can work independently and manage multiple priorities in afast-paced environment.
