Job summary: Oversee the delivery of all TAWAL projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This includes developing and implementing project management processes, establishing project teams, managing resources and schedules, monitoring progress and performance, and mitigating risks and issues. Ensure that all projects meet or exceed customer expectations and contribute to the achievement of the TAWAL’s strategic goals and objectives.
Main Accountabilities:
Input to the development of the function’s short and long-term strategy in line with the TAWAL’s vision and mission and ensure accurate and timely implementation of all objectives.
Collaborate with other functions, departments, or key stakeholders and provide strategic advice to define opportunities for organizational change initiatives to achieve the TAWAL’s overall strategy.
Ensure effective staffing and professional development of the direct reports in consultation with the Human Capital.
Set the department’s operational plans and ensure proper implementation by the relevant direct and indirect reports.
Develop the department’s objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure well development, cascading, and communication to all levels within.
Develop the department’s annual budget, ensuring adequate provision for all priority activities and ensuring direct and indirect reports are working within the assigned budget.
Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to the department’s policies and procedures to ensure that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled in line with the requirements while maintaining high efficiency in achieving objectives.
Oversee end to end delivery of both internal & external projects through applying network design, ensuring acceptance standards are met and proper handover to Operations & Maintenance per agreed procedures and guidelines.
Work to ensure timely completion of assigned customer requests; and monitor customer related engagements from inception to completion.
Plan, manage and review projects and engagements to ensure that they are abiding by set budget, timeline and SLAs.
Manage all contractors and project stakeholders per agreed engagement protocols.
Manage all contractors purchase orders, work orders and project completion documents.
Continuously monitor and ensure that all activities, from contracting to handover to after sales support are effectively & efficiently coordinated and completed on time within budget and in accordance with the underlying contract.
Follow up and report overall customer delivery status and liaise with relevant parties to streamline and enhance customer delivery.
Ensure customer satisfaction through delivering as per agreed specification and requirements; and continuously investigate means for improvement of service.
Gather and manage all projects technical documents, document controls and develop lesson learned after execution of any project to promote current and future opportunities of Business.
Perform any other job-related duties as required by the direct manager.
Perform other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the Line Manager in order to meet Section/Department objectives.
Managerial Accountabilities:
Participate in formulating TAWAL’s strategy and cascade it to ensure each functional area has its objectives and KPIs.
Manage TAWAL’s employees; lead by example to ensure good performance and achieving the functional area’s KPIs and objectives.
Assist in financial budgeting through providing insights and recommendations to the respective functional area.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
