Position: Â Director of Wellness and Spiritual Life
The Director ofWellnessand Spiritual Life will be responsible to develop and oversee comprehensive programs that promote the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of all highereducationstudents withinEducationCity.
Key Result Areas:
Counsel and guide students who are experiencing personal or emotional issues by providing or facilitating individual or group counseling and care using spiritual counseling techniques that is appropriate to the situation.
Provide mental health support and resources to address emotional and psychological challenges.
Develop and execute strategies for promotingwellnessthrough activities, workshops, and resources.
Promote aholistic approachto well-being, encompassing mind, body, and spirit.
Foster acollaborativeandinclusive work environment.
Organize educational seminars, workshops, and events to raise awareness and provide tools forpersonal growthand well-being.
Engage in outreach efforts to connect with the broader community or organization members.
Develop and manage budgets forwellnessand spiritual life programs.
Allocate resources effectively to support program initiatives.
Regularly assess the effectiveness of programs and initiatives, collecting feedback from participants and making necessary improvements.
Provide reports tosenior leadershipon program outcomes and impact.
Ensure that all programs and services adhere to legal and ethical guidelines.
Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in counseling and spiritual guidance.
Embrace and build upon the spirit ofcollaborationand legacy ofrespectacross QF to ensure a continuously welcoming environment for all religious beliefs, and backgrounds represented in the EC community, with a particular focus on students.
Serve as a lead counselor atEducationCity in times of crisis by working closely with PUs and QFleadershipto provide a calming voice for the QF community as well as remain committed to addressing the emotional and spiritual needs of students during times of tragedies or emergencies.
Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in theology, Islamic policy or religious studies, counseling, psychology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Ordained or licensed as a spiritual leader (if applicable).
8-10 years of relevant full-time work experience in program development, management, andleadership, 3 of which at a supervisory level.
Strong interpersonal,communication, and counseling skills.
Knowledge ofdiversespiritual and religious practices and an ability torespectand accommodate different belief systems.
Understanding of mental health andwellnesspractices.
Familiarity with relevant legal and ethical considerations.
Excellent organization, planning, and time management skills.
Significant multicultural experience in an international setting.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely;
Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
