About the Company
To lead and oversee the organization’s procurement and contracting function, ensuring the delivery of strategic, cost-effective, compliant, and value-driven procurement operations. The role is responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, leading tendering and contract negotiations, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, governance standards, and operational requirements.

To lead and oversee the organization’s procurement and contracting function, ensuring the delivery of strategic, cost-effective, compliant, and value-driven procurement operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organization’s procurement and sourcing strategy.
- Lead all procurement and contracting activities, including strategic sourcing, tendering, bid evaluations, negotiations, and contract management.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procurement governance frameworks, and audit requirements.
- Oversee procurement planning and category management across indirect and direct spend categories.
- Manage high-value and complex contracts, ensuring favorable commercial and contractual terms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and stakeholders.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Lead procurement transformation initiatives, process improvements, and digital procurement solutions.
- Provide procurement insights, market intelligence, and risk assessments to leadership.
- Manage and mentor the procurement team, ensuring high performance and capability development.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support operational and strategic business requirements.
- Monitor procurement KPIs, supplier performance, and overall procurement effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, Law, or related field.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Minimum 15+ years of procurement and contracts experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, tender management, and supplier management.
- Experience within government, semi-government, defense, or large corporate environments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of procurement governance, compliance, and audit practices.
- Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
