Arturo Palomba Gallery LLC is an international contemporary art gallery developing museum-quality exhibitions, institutional collaborations and cultural projects across the GCC and international markets.
Our objective is to build long-term relationships with museums, foundations, cultural institutions and international exhibition organisers while promoting contemporary artists worldwide.
About the Role
The Director of Museum Relations & International Loans will establish and manage relationships with museums, public institutions and cultural organisations worldwide.
The successful candidate will oversee institutional loan agreements, travelling exhibitions, collection partnerships and collaborative museum projects while representing the Gallery at the highest professional level.
Key ResponsibilitiesMuseum Partnerships
- Develop relationships with museums worldwide.
- Negotiate institutional cooperation agreements.
- Expand international museum collaborations.
- Represent the Gallery with public institutions.
International Artwork Loans
- Coordinate domestic and international artwork loans.
- Supervise loan agreements and institutional documentation.
- Coordinate transport, insurance and conservation requirements.
- Monitor loan schedules and compliance.
Exhibition Development
- Support museum exhibitions.
- Develop travelling exhibitions.
- Coordinate institutional exhibition planning.
- Work closely with curators and registrars.
Strategic Development
- Identify new museum partnership opportunities.
- Develop long-term institutional strategies.
- Support international visibility of represented artists.
- Prepare executive reports for Gallery Management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with museums, galleries or cultural institutions.
- Strong knowledge of museum standards and loan procedures.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Outstanding organisational and communication abilities.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- International travel availability.
