Role Purpose:
The Director of Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) provides executive leadership and full accountability for the strategic, operational, commercial, and financial performance of the ECS portfolio, including Engineering Services (ES), Traffic & Transportation Services (TTS), Program & Construction Management (PCM), and Asset Management Services (AMS). The role ensures delivery excellence, technical assurance, sustainable business growth, strong stakeholder relationships, financial performance, and leadership capability development, while maintaining the highest standards of governance, quality, and client satisfaction across public, semi-government, and private sector engagements.
Key responsibilities
Delivery Excellence & Technical Assurance:
- Lead end-to-end service delivery across multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring the highest standards of quality, technical rigor, and outcome-focused execution. Drive the introduction and evolution of new services within the origin domain, creating scalable, innovative, and market-leading solutions.
Stakeholder Management & Representation
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. Foster alignment and harmony across teams and organizational boundaries while representing the company externally to strengthen brand presence, executive credibility, and strategic influence.
Leadership & Capability Building
- Develop, mentor, and lead high-performing teams, cultivating a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Ensure the organization has the talent, skills, and leadership capability to meet current and future business needs.
Financial Performance Monitoring
- Own P&L accountability and drive disciplined financial management. Monitor, analyze, and optimize financial performance, ensuring sustainable business outcomes, revenue growth, and commercial success across all service lines.
Business Growth
- Lead strategic initiatives to expand the market footprint, identify new business opportunities, and secure long-term client partnerships. Strengthen relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure repeat business, elevate the company’s market position, and deliver measurable commercial results.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Transportation, Electrical, or related); Master’s degree or executive qualification preferred.
- Experience: 18+ years of progressive leadership in engineering consulting or infrastructure program delivery, with senior leadership experience in multi-disciplinary, complex environments.
- Leadership & Teams: Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, mentor talent, and drive a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Strong track record of building trusted senior-level client relationships and long-term partnerships.
- Commercial & Strategic Acumen: Experience in P&L management, revenue growth, business development, and portfolio strategy.
- Governance & Risk: Skilled in governance, compliance, risk management, quality assurance, and performance oversight.
- Market Presence: Recognized thought leader capable of enhancing brand visibility and executive credibility.
- Regional/Global Exposure: Experience in UAE, GCC, or international markets desirable, across public, semi-government, and private sectors
