The Fleet Incharge is responsible for overseeing the management, maintenance, and operation of the organization’s fleet of vehicles.
This role involves ensuring the fleet operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Fleet Incharge will manage a team of drivers and maintenance staff, coordinate vehicle schedules, and implement strategies to optimize fleet performance
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the fleet, including vehicle allocation, scheduling, and routing.
Monitor vehicle usage and performance to ensure optimal efficiency.
Develop and implement fleet policies and procedures to enhance safety and efficiency.
Maintenance and Repairs:
Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance and repairs for all vehicles.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
Prepare and manage the fleet budget, tracking expenses related to fuel, maintenance, and repairs.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to reduce operational costs.
Team Management:
Supervise and train drivers and maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and support.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all vehicles comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, including utilization, costs, and maintenance activities.
Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements.
Customer Service:
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient transportation services.
Address any issues or concerns related to fleet operations promptly.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in UAE Fleet management or a similar role for a period not less than two years
Valid UAE Driving License
Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety regulations.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Proficient in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
