We are seeking a dedicated and organized Fleet Coordinator to join our team at a leading landscaping design and build company based in the UAE. The Fleet Coordinator will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our company vehicles and equipment, ensuring their availability, safety, and proper maintenance. This role is essential to ensuring our landscaping projects run smoothly, with a focus on on-time delivery and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Management:
Oversee the daily scheduling, maintenance, and operations of company vehicles (trucks, vans, and specialized landscaping equipment).
Coordinate the timely transportation of materials, tools, and crew members to project sites.
Track fleet usage, fuel consumption, and vehicle location for optimal performance.
Maintain an updated record of all vehicles, including registration, insurance, and warranty details.
Maintenance & Repairs:
Ensure all vehicles and equipment undergo regular maintenance and servicing to meet health and safety standards.
Monitor and schedule repairs and preventive maintenance, reducing downtime and improving fleet efficiency.
Work closely with third-party suppliers and service providers for vehicle servicing and emergency repairs.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure all fleet operations comply with UAE road safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Maintain accurate documentation for all fleet-related activities, including driver logs, maintenance records, and inspection reports.
Track fleet insurance renewals and ensure timely compliance with regulatory requirements.
Budget & Cost Control:
Assist in managing the fleet budget by monitoring expenses related to fuel, maintenance, and repairs.
Identify opportunities to optimize fuel usage, minimize maintenance costs, and extend the lifespan of vehicles and equipment.
Coordination & Communication:
Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and drivers to ensure fleet resources are allocated effectively for upcoming projects.
Provide excellent communication regarding vehicle availability, transportation schedules, and project requirements.
Safety & Training:
Implement and monitor safety protocols for drivers and vehicle operators to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Provide training on vehicle operation, maintenance procedures, and safe driving practices.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in fleet management or a related role, preferably within the construction, landscaping, or logistics industry.
Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, repair, and operational best practices.
Knowledge of UAE road laws and transportation regulations.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
Valid UAE driver’s license; a clean driving record is preferred.
