Design & Estimation Engineer – Fire Protection System Jobs in Dubai at Teckpark Digital Media Solutions
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Protection Engineer / Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and estimation of firefighting and fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. You will play a key role in preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, while providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and estimate firefighting and fire alarm systems for various projects.
- Perform fire pump hydraulic calculations to ensure system adequacy.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes and industry standards.
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for fire protection systems.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project requirements, providing technical support during installation and commissioning.
- Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from suppliers and contractors.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and advancements in fire protection.
- Assist in project coordination and management, including scheduling and budgeting.
- Provide technical support to the sales team during client presentations and meetings.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and estimating firefighting and fire alarm systems.
- Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, local building codes).
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
- Experience with hydraulic calculation software for fire protection.
- Familiarity with project management tools and practices.
