Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineering Manager with experience in road infrastructure projects. The role focuses on reviewing design deliverables, coordinating across disciplines, and ensuring timely technical approvals in line with project requirements and standards.
The ideal candidate will act as a key link between design teams, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure high-quality and compliant engineering outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and manage design deliverables for road infrastructure projects (roads, highways, related structures)
- Coordinate with consultants, design teams, and project stakeholders to ensure alignment and accuracy
- Ensure timely technical reviews and approvals of drawings, specifications, and documents
- Monitor design progress and ensure compliance with project schedules and milestones
- Ensure adherence to international standards, local regulations, and client requirements
- Identify design issues and propose practical engineering solutions
- Facilitate coordination between civil, structural, and other engineering disciplines
- Support project teams during construction phases with design clarifications and technical inputs
- Review and validate shop drawings, method statements, and technical submittals
- Participate in design review meetings and technical discussions
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of design submissions
- Assist in value engineering and optimization of design solutions
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in design coordination for road infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of road design standards and engineering principles
- Experience in reviewing technical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with design software and tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.)
