Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer with experience in Architectural Metal Works to support engineering and design activities from project award through production. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate drawings, technical documentation, material submittals, and fabrication packages while ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Review IFC drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents.
- Prepare GA drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and installation details.
- Manage drawing revisions, registers, transmittals, and consultant comments.
- Prepare material submittals, method statements, and sample submissions.
- Develop fabrication packages, CNC data, cutting lists, bend schedules, and manufacturing details.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams using BIM tools.
- Provide technical support to production teams and resolve engineering queries.
- Develop value engineering solutions to improve cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, fire-rating requirements, and QA/QC standards.
Products Experience
Fire-rated doors, steel doors, acoustic doors, stainless steel works, decorative metal works, PVD finishes, copper cladding, corten steel, façades, louvers, screens, handrails, balustrades, canopies, access panels, data centre containment systems, and bespoke architectural metal works.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
- 3–8 years of experience in Architectural Metal Works.
- GCC project experience is preferred.
- Autodesk certifications are an advantage.
Technical Skills
- AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Inventor, SolidWorks, Bluebeam Revu
- ERP Systems and Microsoft Office
- Sheet metal fabrication, stainless steel works, and fire-rated door systems
- Knowledge of Saudi Building Code and industry standards
