We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic professional for the Customer Solutions – Design role, responsible for performing transactional, high-volume tasks, and providing engineering documentation. The Customer Solutions – Design professional is tasked with producing high-quality documentation, executing reviews, and managing approval processes. This work is driven by quality metrics and measured via service-level agreements. The role allows for specialization, such as layouts of standard products, minor local modifications, conducting site surveys post-certification, or becoming a user of IT tools like CAD, BIM, or engineering workflow tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Review IFC / Architectural & Structural drawings and implement them into shop or tender drawings.
Review inputs for shop drawing preparation.
Localize 2D shop and tender drawings for elevators, escalators, travelators, and autowalks, including third-party elevators.
Revise shop drawings based on customer feedback.
Prepare local material drawings such as dividing beams, lifting hook beams, and site modification sketches.
Prepare finish drawings for cabins, car operating panels, landing signalization, architraves, etc.
Develop advance builder’s layouts for construction coordination.
Prepare installation drawings for the site team after material ordering.
Create as-built and red line marking drawings per customer requirements.
Resolve site issues related to engineering and drawings.
Participate in customer meetings, representing the CSE team, understanding customer needs, and influencing specifications via Teams calls.
Ensure compliance with engineering policies, local codes, and EN standards.
Deliver high-quality outputs to stakeholders.
Balance workload among team members based on business priorities.
Promote team behavior to represent KONE positively to customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
5+ years of industrial experience in high-rise engineering.
2-3 years of experience in design and drafting.
Preferably from the elevator industry.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (latest versions) at an expert level.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Fluent English;
Arabic is an advantage.
Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work across different time zones and cultures.
Technical understanding of elevators, escalators, and moving walks.
Knowledge of Revit/BIM is an asset.
