Deputy Finance Manager – Roads & Bridges
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Finance Manager to support financial operations for large-scale Roads & Bridges infrastructure projects. The role involves overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, cost control, and compliance while ensuring alignment with project and organizational financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Finance Manager in overseeing all financial activities for Roads & Bridges projects
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, and financial performance
- Ensure accurate accounting, financial controls, and compliance with regulations
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making
- Coordinate with project managers and department heads on financial planning
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external audit requirements
- Manage invoicing, payments, and receivables related to projects
- Support risk management and cost optimization initiatives
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 7–12 years of experience in finance, preferably within construction / infrastructure (Roads & Bridges)
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA is preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and accounting principles
- Experience in project-based financial management
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
