Job Description:
As a Dental Hygienist you will play a critical role in providing preventative care and promoting oral health to our patients. You will be responsible for performing routine cleanings , assisting with oral health education, and collaborating with our dental team to ensure the best care possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and applying fluoride treatments.
Take dental X-rays and ensure proper positioning for accurate diagnostic results.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, diet, and oral care products.
Assist the dentist with examinations and procedures as needed.
Maintain patient records and update treatment plans.
Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns during treatment.
Stay up-to-date with the latest dental hygiene trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
Valid state license to practice dental hygiene (required).
Associate’s degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program.
CPR and first aid certification (or ability to obtain).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with good manual dexterity.
Preferred:
Previous experience in a dental office setting.
Experience with digital radiography and dental software.
