Position: Dental Assistant -Abha (207124)

Job Description
Provides complete chairside assistance to the general or specialist dentist during clinical/surgical dental procedures. Performs clinical supportive functions.
Accountabilities
Assist dentists engaged in diagnostic, operative, surgical, periodontal, preventive, orthodontic, prosthodontic, endodontic, or pedodontic procedures during examination and treatment of patients.
Perform clinical functions such as preparing and dismissing patients, cleaning instrumentation, disinfecting equipment, providing post-operative instructions, maintaining supply orders, and keeping applicable records.
Participate in patient examination and treatment by retracting cheeks and tissues, irrigating, and aspirating mouth fluids safely and comfortably.
Anticipate the dentist’s needs and practice four-handed dentistry to ensure efficient operative procedures.
Perform expanded duty procedures under the supervision of the dentist as required.
Review patient medical history, alert the dentist to significant issues, assist in updating records, and note significant history problems in the chart.
Accurately chart oral conditions and record treatments in the patient’s permanent chart.
Maintain and review skills in First Aid and CPR; handle medical emergencies until the dentist or additional medical help arrives.
Instruct patients on post-operative home care procedures as directed by the dentist.
Perform other related duties as requested, with the understanding that duties may vary based on business needs.

Days Off: 1 day
Working Hours:
8 hours per day according to the shift schedule approved by the department head.
