Technical/Core Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide technical assistance and guidance for designing, implementing, and optimizing database solutions to support Sehati's operations and strategic objectives.
  • Install, configure, and maintain database management systems.
  • Monitor database performance and optimize queries and indexing to ensure high performance and availability.
  • Implement and enforce data security measures to protect sensitive information.
  • Perform regular backups and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, and stored procedures.
  • Develop and maintain database scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks in the database systems.
  • Optimize database configuration and queries to enhance performance.
  • Plan and manage database capacity to accommodate future growth.
  • Implement strategies to ensure database scalability and efficient resource utilization.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery plans and procedures.
  • Utilize clustering, replication, and other techniques to ensure high availability of database systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
  • Collaborate with developers, IT staff, and end-users to resolve database problems.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and policies.
  • Generate reports on database performance, security, and usage.

  • Proficiency with various Database Management Systems (DBMS).
  • Skills in database installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Experience with database programming, including stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
  • Ability to optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and resource management.
  • Skills in monitoring and analyzing database performance metrics.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing backup and recovery strategies.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery planning and high availability solutions.
  • Understanding of database security best practices to protect data integrity and privacy.
  • Experience in implementing access controls, encryption, and auditing.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining detailed documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively interact with a range of people.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer information system, computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent.
  • Preferred master's degree in business. computer information system, computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent.
  • Professional qualification OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) is preferred.

Minimum Experience:

  • 4 years of experience in a similar field.
