We are seeking a Database Manager to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems that support critical business operations. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge of database technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to ensure high availability, performance, and security of database environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Database Administration:
- Manage and maintain the performance, integrity, and security of all database systems.
- Implement and monitor database backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Ensure high availability and scalability of database systems to support business growth and operational needs.
Database Design and Development:
- Design and implement new database structures and optimize existing ones to improve performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with application development teams to ensure database integration and alignment with business requirements.
Security and Compliance:
- Enforce database security policies and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations (e.g., SAMA, AML/CTF).
- Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor database performance proactively and implement tuning strategies to ensure optimal system performance.
- Analyze system logs and performance metrics to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of database administrators and developers.
- Work closely with IT operations, application teams, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless database operations.
Job Requirements:
Nationality:
- Saudi
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in database management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale database environments.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong technical knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems.
- Experience with database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
- Strong understanding of database security, access control, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
