We are on the lookout for a highly talented and self-motivated Senior Oracle Database Administrator / Database Architect (Banking Domain) to join us on our journey in advancing the technological world through innovation and creativity.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Oracle DBA / Database Architect with 10–15+ years of experience in managing large-scale Oracle database environments, preferably within the Banking or Financial Services sector.

Mandatory Skills (Must Have)

Oracle Database Expertise

  • 10–15+ years of Oracle DBA experience on Linux platforms.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in:
  • Oracle 19c / 21c
  • RAC
  • ASM
  • Data Guard
  • RMAN
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
  • Multitenant Architecture (CDB/PDB)

Database Operations

  • Database installation, upgrades, patching, migrations.
  • Backup & Recovery management.
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and execution.
  • Production support in large enterprise environments.

Performance Tuning

Hands-on expertise in:

  • AWR Reports
  • ASH Analysis
  • ADDM
  • SQL Execution Plans
  • Optimizer Statistics
  • Wait Event Analysis
  • Oracle Database Performance Tuning

ETL & ODS Database Support

  • Experience supporting ETL-intensive databases.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • ETL workflows
  • Data ingestion pipelines
  • Operational Data Store (ODS) databases

Linux & Infrastructure Knowledge

  • Linux Administration
  • HugePages
  • NUMA Architecture
  • Storage Performance
  • VMware / OLVM
  • Infrastructure-level performance troubleshooting

Automation & Scripting

  • Shell Scripting
  • Python Scripting
  • Database automation and operational efficiency initiatives

Banking Domain Requirements (Highly Preferred)

Candidates should have experience supporting:

  • Core Banking Systems
  • Payment Platforms
  • Treasury Applications
  • Regulatory & Compliance-sensitive environments
  • High Availability and 24×7 Banking Operations
  • Large production Oracle environments with strict SLA requirements.
  • Banking experience should be prioritized during screening.

Candidate should demonstrate experience in:

  • Leading database migration projects
  • Oracle version upgrades
  • DR drills and Disaster Recovery implementations
  • Production incident resolution
  • Change management processes
  • Working with:
  • Application Teams
  • Infrastructure Teams
  • Storage Teams
  • Network Teams
  • Cloud Teams
  • Oracle Support/Vendors
