In this role you will be responsible to operate and execute Data Engineering and Architecture activities, in order to ensure and deliver on the Department’s mandate and that will contribute to the delivery of short and mid-term strategic objectives within set KPIs, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for:
Collect and document business needs and requirements on the data warehouse in STA’s big data platform (Sidr), including platform architecture, data procurement, integration, management to empower the whole ecosystem (STA, trade, government and visitors) with evidence-based decision-making and support in their design and development.
Support in developing optimised data models and Data-marts to empower the business with automated data and insight feed given business requirements.
Continuously monitor data to ensure all data collected, processed and stored is in line with established data governance protocols.
Organize tasks and implement policies, processes, procedures, forms and tools.
Identify opportunities forcontinuous improvementof processes and practices taking into account leading practices.
Escalate problems to ensure case/issue is closed efficiently and in a timely manner.
Support peers across the organization when needed to perform their duties.
Perform any other activities as and when required.
You will need:
At least 8 years of experience in research, data modelling and analytics.
A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Hospitality Management or equivalent is required.
