Data Center Presales Engineer (Power, Cooling & Infrastructure) Jobs in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at Mannai Trading Company
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Presales Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for designing and developing end-to-end data center infrastructure solutions for enterprise and government customers. You will work closely with customers, sales teams, engineering teams, and technology partners to deliver technically compliant, cost-effective, and energy-efficient solutions covering power, cooling, physical infrastructure, and monitoring systems.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in data center design, tender preparation, and solution architecture, with a solid understanding of international standards and Uptime Institute design principles. Candidates holding an Uptime Institute Accredited Tier Designer (ATD) certification or equivalent will be highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements and develop technical solutions for greenfield and brownfield data center projects.
- Design end-to-end data center infrastructure solutions, including electrical, mechanical, and physical infrastructure systems.
- Prepare technical proposals, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), Bills of Materials (BOM), compliance matrices, and tender documentation.
- Design and validate infrastructure covering:
- MV/LV electrical distribution
- UPS, battery systems, generators, PDUs, and busway systems
- Precision cooling, chillers, CRAH and CRAC units
- Racks, containment, and structured cabling
- Fire detection and suppression systems
- DCIM, BMS, EMS, and monitoring platforms
- Prepare conceptual layouts, rack layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), power and cooling calculations, and redundancy analysis.
- Ensure proposed solutions comply with Uptime Institute Tier III design principles and applicable international standards.
- Coordinate with OEMs, technology partners, consultants, and internal engineering teams to optimize technical and commercial solutions.
- Support the sales team during customer meetings, technical presentations, workshops, bid clarifications, and solution demonstrations.
- Perform solution cost optimization while maintaining technical compliance, reliability, scalability, and energy efficiency.
- Participate in tender reviews, technical risk assessments, value engineering workshops, and contract negotiations.
- Support project handover to delivery teams and provide technical assistance during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Years of Experience: 5–10 years in Data Center Presales, Solution Engineering, or Infrastructure Design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience designing enterprise and mission-critical data center infrastructure.
- Experience preparing large-scale government and enterprise tenders.
- Strong knowledge of Tier III and Tier IV data center infrastructure and industry best practices.
- Hands-on experience working with leading OEMs such as Schneider Electric, Vertiv, Eaton, Huawei, ABB, Siemens, Caterpillar, Cummins, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, UPS systems, generators, precision cooling, fire suppression, structured cabling, and DCIM solutions.
- Experience using AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, ETAP (or equivalent power system analysis software), and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent proposal development, technical documentation, customer presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP)
- Certified Data Centre Specialist (CDCS)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Relevant OEM certifications in UPS, Cooling, DCIM, or Power Infrastructure
