Position: Data Analyst (SQL)
- Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2017/2019/2022)
- Deep understanding of Query optimization and execution plans, Indexing and performance tuning techniques & TempDB configuration and memory management
- Solid experience with Windows Server Failover Clustering (installation, configuration, and troubleshooting)
- Strong knowledge of OS-level performance tuning (CPU, memory, disk, networking)
- Experience with backup and recovery tools (native and enterprise solutions such as Veeam is a plus)
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM, SQL monitoring platforms)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across both database and infrastructure layers
- Experience with Power Shell scripting and automation
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances across Development, Testing, and Production environments.
- Manage and optimize database performance, including indexing strategies, query tuning, and execution plan analysis.
- Monitor overall system health (database and OS) and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Design, implement, and support High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server environments supporting SQL Server workload.
- Plan, implement, and manage backup and recovery strategies (Full, Differential, Transaction Logs).
- Perform database and OS patching, upgrades, and migrations (e.g., SQL Server 2017 – 2022).
- Troubleshoot, implement, and maintain database security (logins, roles, encryption, auditing).
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams on OS tuning, storage performance, and capacity planning.
- Support Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and failover readiness.
- Automate administrative and operational tasks using Power Shell, T‑SQL, and SQL Agent Jobs.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and drive preventive and corrective action.
