Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Customs Specialist role based in Jeddah. The Customs Specialist will manage end-to-end customs clearance processes for import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with Saudi and international customs regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing customs documentation, coordinating with customs authorities, ports, and terminals, and liaising with internal operations and external clients to resolve clearance issues. The role involves monitoring shipment status, identifying potential delays, and proactively addressing regulatory or documentation gaps. The Customs Specialist will also maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs laws, tariffs, and trade agreements, and contribute to process improvements that enhance speed, accuracy, and cost-efficiency in customs operations.
Qualifications
- Strong customs operations expertise, including Customs Brokerage and hands-on experience with local and international customs procedures.
- Solid understanding of Import, Export, and Import Export documentation, processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Effective Communication skills, with the ability to coordinate clearly with customs officials, clients, carriers, and internal teams.
- Experience in freight forwarding or logistics, preferably within Saudi Arabia or GCC markets.
- Familiarity with customs systems and trade platforms; ability to work with digital documentation and tracking tools.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on compliance, risk mitigation, and service quality.
- Relevant diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
