Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. As a Commis Chef, you will assist in preparing meals for guests, help maintain kitchen operations, and learn from senior chefs in a high-volume environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop their culinary career in a hotel setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, following hotel kitchen standards.
Help with the preparation of ingredients and mise en place.
Work in different sections of the kitchen, including hot, cold, and pastry sections.
Ensure food is cooked to the required quality and meets presentation standards.
Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and organized during and after each shift.
Assist in the storage of food and ingredients, ensuring proper stock rotation.
Support senior chefs in the daily operations of the kitchen, including food prep and service.
Follow food safety regulations, including maintaining hygiene standards and cleanliness.
Be proactive and ready to assist in other tasks as needed by the kitchen team.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Commis Chef or in a kitchen environment (preferred).
Strong interest in learning culinary techniques and developing skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong attention to detail and passion for food preparation.
Ability to work effectively within a team and support colleagues.
Knowledge of food safety and cleanliness standards.
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Fresher
Pay: AED2,200.00 – AED2,800.00 per month
