Curriculum Architect Jobs in Doha, Qatar at xLoop Digital Middle East

Title: Curriculum Architect

Company: xLoop Digital Middle East

Location: Doha, Qatar

A new education venture in Qatar is building an artificial intelligence and computing programme for schools. We are looking for the person who will design the curriculum, its architecture, its progression, and the academic case for it, and who will stand behind that design when it is examined.

Role Details

Role: Curriculum Architect — K-12 Artificial Intelligence & Computing

Location: Doha, Qatar. Full time and on the ground. Candidates already resident in Qatar are preferred; relocation will be considered for an exceptional candidate.

Reporting: Into the academic function, working directly with the founder

Support: Senior academic advisory input, and specialist colleagues across assessment, teaching and delivery

Languages: English essential

What You Would Own

This is a design seat, not a delivery or administration one. The curriculum is yours to architect.

•     Curriculum architecture: scope, sequence and progression across the school phases

•     Learning outcomes: what a student should know and be able to demonstrate at each stage, and how capability compounds year to year

•     Academic rigour and age-appropriateness across the full range, from lower secondary through to school-leaving age

•     Curriculum documentation produced to a standard that withstands external academic and regulatory scrutiny

•     Working across functions so the design survives contact with a real classroom, alongside colleagues responsible for assessment, teacher preparation and delivery in schools

Requirements — Essential

•     Authored a curriculum, not administered or delivered one. Scope and sequence, progression, outcomes, written by you, taught by others

•     Genuine computing or artificial intelligence subject depth; able to judge whether a lesson is teaching what it claims to

•     K-12 pedagogy: you know what a twelve-year-old can hold and what a seventeen-year-old can be pushed to, and design accordingly

•     Experience evidencing a curriculum against an external standard to an examining body (accreditation, awarding, inspection or ministry process)

•     Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, or a body of authored work that makes the qualification beside the point

•     Willing to be based in Doha, in schools, while the curriculum is taught

Requirements — Desirable

•     Arabic language capability

•     Experience producing curriculum in more than one language

•     Prior work in the Gulf or wider Middle East school system

•     Published or peer-reviewed work in computing or artificial intelligence education

•     Robotics, physical computing or project-based build programmes in schools

•     Classroom teaching experience, at any point in your career

This Role Is Not For

Corporate learning and development or professional training design; LMS administration or ed-tech platform ownership; programme or project management without curriculum authorship; editorial or publishing roles without computing subject depth; AI practitioners with no schools curriculum experience.

How To Apply

A CV alone won’t tell us what we need to know, so please DM us the following:

•     Your CV

•     One curriculum artefact you personally authored (a scope and sequence, unit map, or progression framework), redacted of anything commercially sensitive

•     A one-page note on how you would introduce and sequence AI as a subject across the secondary school years, and what you would teach first

Applications without a work sample will not be assessed. The one-page note should be your own writing.
