You will play a central role in safeguarding collections through research-driven conservation strategies, collection management, and collaboration with museum professionals and heritage specialists.
What You’ll Be Doing
Manage and maintain museum collections in accordance with internationally recognized conservation and documentation standards.
Conduct conservation research to evaluate the condition, stability, and long-term preservation needs of artifacts.
Develop and implement preventive conservation strategies that reduce environmental and handling risks.
Prepare technical reports, condition assessments, and conservation documentation to support institutional records and future research.
Collaborate with curators, researchers, exhibition teams, and external heritage experts to ensure the responsible care and interpretation of collections.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of conservation practices by applying current research methodologies and emerging preservation technologies.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
A degree in Conservation, Cultural Heritage Conservation, or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrated knowledge of conservation principles, collection care, and museum documentation practices.
A research-oriented approach with the ability to analyze materials, evaluate conservation treatments, and support evidence-based preservation decisions.
